Meet Ruth Redmond McGillivary, Grandma Sickle's baby sister on my Mom's side. She's 97 years old and slipped off of her bed yesterday, resulting in a nasty jagged break of her hip. Her surgery was at 8:00 this morning and she came through it beautifully. Mom and I went up to the hospital to see her for a few minutes last night. We took her a cute pot of pink and white begonias. Good things do happen at Prairie Lakes, the old Saint Ann's Hospital ... after all, I was born there !

My Great Aunt Ruth ...

God Bless Her. Hope she does well. 97! Wow. My mom broke her hip. Hope she recoves well. It takes time. I guess it will be PT for her for awhile. Tell her I will keep her in my prayers.
