For TGI Sky Watch Friday ...

This is the view from the front of our house, looking east, at about 9:20 pm tonight. The sun was setting behind the house and had a strip of clouds running through the middle of it as well as through it's bottom. I love the way it lit just the tops of the trees and sky.

  1. What an amazing view... wow... I'm breathless...

I saw your comments over at Happy Wife about staying positive. It's hard to be positive in the face of death, but God does give us the strength to go on in a life that we don't always understand, doesn't He. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hello, fellow South Dakotan! I saw your post on Mommi Musings page. I was born and raised in Brookings. Now I live just across the border in Minnesota. But I do miss the speed limits...you can drive sooo fast there.

  9. STUPENDOUS photo! (I have my thesaurus out now... trying not to repeat my adjectives!)

On a serious note, thanks for sharing the story about your sister. I believe that for every tragedy and dark valley God allows us to grow through, he multiplies our blessings. I'm sure your relationship with your niece is definitely one of those blessings. Thank you for sharing your story. And just think.... one day, when we get to heaven, we'll get new bodies (hooray!) that won't ever get sick or old or die, and we'll be reunited with our loved ones, and get to spend all Eternity in the presence of the Almighty. Now if THAT isn't cool, I don't know what is. :-)

Hope you have a beautiful Friday, my friend!

  13. Laurie. what a beautiful photo! The golden tones on the tree tops make the photo appear almost surreal.

I love the photo or your grand children's faces sticking out of the bath water - very special.
